▪ZhengYong-Xi

ZhengYong-Xi was one of the politicians from the Qing Dynasty government. He was born in Taiwan, Tamsui Agency, Zhú Qiàn (now Hsinchu), who was also the architect for Hsinchu’s four city gates. Because it was the early Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty that he entered the officialdom through the imperial examination, he is known as the "first Scholar". After he died, he was buried at Zhú Zi Kēng. The four city gates include east gates- Yíng Xī gate, west gate- Yì Shuǎng gate, south gate- Gē Xūn gate, and north gate- Gǒng Chén gate. The most famous one is east gate- Yíng Xī gate. Unfortunately, in 1901, a fire burned the north gate to ashes. Except for Yíng Xī gate, other gates were also demolished in other years.

▪Wang,Yi-Shun

Wang,Yi-Shun was born in 1861, a local carpenter family surnamed Wang from a native of Xī Dǐ village, Huì An Xiàn, Quán Zhōu, China, and was died in 1931. He was respectfully known by many people as Yishun Division or Wang Yishun Division. He participated into the constructions of many old temples, like, Hsinchu Cheng Huáng temple, Huì An Qīng Shān temple, Měng Jiǎ Lóng Shān temple, and Taipei Confucius Temple. Hsinchu Chéng Huáng temple is gorgeous on the outside and sophisticated inside. It attracts a great number of tourists at home and abroad.

▪Wang,Shi-Jie

Wang,Shi-Jie was borned in the 1966s, tóng ān, quán zhōu, fú jiàn, China. He has made great contributions to Hsinchu and is one of the indispensable and important figures in the maintenance of farmland and water conservancy in Hsinchu. He was also the architect for the lián huā temple. The main gods worship in the Lotus Temple are: Guanyin Buddha, Guansheng Emperor, Wugu Emperor, Jizo King Bodhisattva, Zhusheng Niangniang, etc., which are the main gods believed in by the locals.

▪Song Qi,Wan-Chang

Song Qi,Wan-Chang was the only architect that had peerages. At that time, he was the director of construction and public works of the Ministry of Railways of the Governor's Palace, and he was also the architect of Hsinchu train station. His famous works are Hsinchu train station, North Gate Hóng Lóu theater (The Red Building), Taichung Zhongshan Hall, qīng mù zhōu cáng nà xū, and Sendai seventy seven bank. Hsinchu train station is one of the most popular train stations in Taiwan. Its construction started in 1908, and finished in 1914, and at the end of December 2014, it became a sister station with Tokyo Railway Station.
